Lidders Produce Market opened it doors to the public for business in June 1996. Current owners Dave and Satpal Lidder
saw an opportunity to sell fresh produce from their little ten acre hobby farm to locals and tourists in the Keremeos area.
With a passion for growing high quality produce and farming their entire life, the couple’s business received great feedback from customers after the first year of operation.
"We would let fruit fully ripen on the trees, and then pick fresh daily for our customers", claims Dave. "People would get a thrill when they would come into the store and bite into a fully ripened peach or plum that explodes with flavor and freshness. That first year we sold out of everything, and people kept on coming back and asking for more produce."

After that summer the couple had a vision to build the business that Lidder Farms is today. Presently, Lidder Farms has grown
into an eighty acre farm, and one of the fastest growing orchards in the valley.
Lidder Farms produces all types of fruit and vegetables including: cherries, peaches, apricots, apples, tomatoes, plums, nectarines, just to name a few.
Located in the Similkameen, the farm is placed in one of the most prime farming land in all of the country. With the warm springs and hot summers, the farm can grow different types of vegetables, including: field tomatoes, cantaloupes, peppers, and watermelons. The cold winters allow the farm to grow soft fruits such as cherries, and peaches which are rare in Canada.
"The reason for our success over the years has been because of our commitment to high quality and service. All the employees share that vision with the owners, and at every stage in the growing season, we take all measures to produce the best fruit we possibly can.
We take great pride in the quality of fruit and service we provide, and all our employees share that feeling with
us", says Satpal.
Lidder’s Produce Market is open seasonally during the fruit growing season in the South Okanagan. The store opens in the middle of June and closes at the end of November. Everyone is welcome to stop in and enjoy free samples of all fruit and veggies in season when they are passing Lidder’s Produce Market.
